Housekeeping Reminders: Essential Prep & Deadlines
Friendly reminder for those of you who have worked with us before: our shows run on strict organization! For everyone else, please pay close attention to the following essential housekeeping notes.
1) Mandatory Communication
- Email is Critical: It is your personal responsibility to check your email regularly and respond when directed.
- Zero Tolerance for Missed Deadlines: All official emails and updates will include a firm submission deadline (e.g., confirmation of attendance, forms). Failure to confirm by this deadline will result in your immediate removal from the show.
2) Scheduling & Attendance (No Exceptions)
- Fittings and Rehearsals: Your designer/presenter will coordinate all necessary fittings. If you know you cannot attend ALL mandatory fittings, rehearsals, and walkthroughs, please notify us and cancel now.
- Mandatory Walkthrough: The final walkthrough is happening the morning of the event.
- Punctuality: DO NOT BE LATE! Lateness jeopardizes the entire schedule and will result in your removal.
- Arrival Time: You will receive your specific event arrival time on November 14th.
3) Roles, Preparation, & Payment
For Models
- Be Ready: Pack your patience! Start gathering your essentials now and prepare your Model Bag (chargers, undergarments, makeup, etc.). (If you need help, you can download my Model Bag Checklist.)
- Foundation Required: All models must bring their own foundation for makeup application.
For Paid Models Only
- Payment Timeline: Payment will be issued at the END of the event.
- Clearance Required: You must be completely cleared by our team before payment is released. All garments must be returned and accounted for. Please bring your patience; final payments are the last task of the day.
For Designers/Presenters
- Model Management: You are fully responsible for your models—prepare them for the show, the walkthrough, and ensure mental focus.
- Essential Equipment: Bring your own operational equipment: clothing racks, steamers, sewing kits, etc. The venue will not supply these items.
- Special GLAM Requests: Supply materials for special looks (wigs, ponytails, SFX, hair pieces, accessories, etc.).
For Glam Squad (Hairstylists & Makeup Artists)
- Dress Code: All black clothing and comfortable shoes. Branded attire is approved.
- Equipment & Supplies: Bring complete kits to style a diverse group: chairs, mirrors, plug extenders/power strips, lighting, products, tools. Be fully self-sufficient.
- Focus on Production: Do not slow the timeline by taking photos/videos. We have an official content team. You may set up ring lights/tripods to record. Be prepared for a group photo and to walk the runway with us during the FINALE.
For Volunteers
- Dress Code: Volunteers should wear all black, professional, and comfortable clothing to maintain a cohesive, polished look throughout the event.
- Assignments: Specific assignments will be issued upon arrival. Please check in with your team leader to confirm your role and responsibilities.
- Team Coordination: Team leaders will be onsite to provide guidance and direction. Remain attentive and follow instructions promptly.
- Flexibility: Be prepared for changes—event needs may shift throughout the day. Stay adaptable and ready to assist where needed.
