“The Cycle” Movie Premiere

Heyyyyy there!

I know it’s been a minute but I just wanted to share some great news with you. One of the projects I have had the pleasure to work on, The Cycle is finally here! This is a quick word of encouragement and history lesson on how The Cycle came to be.

The Cycle is a documentary discussing generational curses and how they impact our daily lives. Whether it is relationships, finances or health, many of us are suffering because we are caught up in this cycle that leads to heartache and disappointment.

Have you ever stopped and wondered why something just didn’t work? Have you noticed the same things that happened to your parents and grandparents, aunts and uncles, are happening to you? Do you believe children suffer because of the sins of the fathers? Have you stopped long enough to analyze your life, your family and the things occurring to see why?

Terrence saw a need and created The Cycle. He is ending The Cycle. How did we get here? Continue reading and enjoy this pictorial journal.

#GHOE2017 Graham tells me about his idea and before he could finish I said “yes I want in and I can tell you what my generational curse is.” He says let’s do this and we go back to partying and enjoying the weekend. I had no idea what I signed up for and didn’t even realize what I was saying when I told him what I wanted to share. My story ain’t pretty!

November 2017

Filming my story in Charlotte, NC. On this day I knew my life changed and the struggle, the battle, The Cycle ended. I’ve talked about my childhood but on this day I embraced my past and accepted it for what it was. I embraced my truth then released myself from the hurts, bondage and pain from the past.

Rev. Travis Newkirk provided insight into the biblical and spiritual history of generational curses and breaking The Cycle.

Terrence drove all over this state to film stories of people determined to end The Cycle and change the generations following them!

April 2018

Photo shoot held on the beautiful campus of North Carolina A & T State University. The first time all of the cast members met and came together for The Cycle. We had no clue about anything other than we were part of a life changing experience spearheaded by TG, Graham...(these are all names I have for Terrence)

#GHOE2018 Terry drops the news of our premiere date now that post production is almost done. I don’t know what he did, how he did it and when he had time to do it. I just know a year later, The Cycle movie premiere is happening. The perfect score. The perfect cast. The perfect production team.

We’re planning a movie premiere! And by we, I mean him.

December 1, 2018

Premiere Night!

December 1, 2018 at Triad Stage in Greensboro, NC.

200 people attended the premier and more supported by purchasing tickets even though they couldn’t make it. December 1, the night we see how much work and thought went into combining our stories to create this work of art.

Thought provoking. Inspiring. Tear jerker. Motivational.

Those are just a few words that come to mind as I replay the movie in my head and then laugh all over again at the comedic relief perfectly positioned in the film.

Words of Wisdom:

  1. Connect with the right people.

  2. Say yes when an opportunity comes your way, even if/when you are scared, afraid or doubting.

  3. Write the vision, document your dream.

  4. Work the plan to execute the vision.

  5. Stay focused and dedicated to executing.

  6. Celebrate your success when the dream becomes a reality.

  7. Take a day to reflect then get back up and do it all again making adjustments where needed.

I shared these Words of Wisdom because I watched Terrence work tirelessly until The Cycle was done. I didn’t see everything and like I said, I don’t know how he did it, but he did it. I am so motivated by his tenacity and determination to get the job done. He didn’t let anything stop him from achieving this. He didn’t let money, support, resources, weather or anything else get in the way.

Terrence, I can never say it enough,

Thank you for seeing something in me in 1991. 27 years ago I had no idea who I was, what I wanted to do or be. You have been a great friend and brother and I am honored to be apart of your project.

Stay tuned people! Another screening is in the works and Terrence has already announced his next project. You will want to be on the team this time around. We are going places!

And by we, I mean ME & TG!

Be sure to follow Terrence Graham and 5 FT Productions, LLC on social media for all the happenings.
